'Will Amnesia Get You Too?' (2022) is an autoethnographic interactive project portraying a narrative environment that reflects upon the social and familial ramifications of age-related amnesia.

Developed through inter-generational research, the work explores personal experiences of amnesia, where the theme of Alzheimer's amnesia invokes a conversation on memory in the context of human over-reliance on digital communication devices including smartphones and apps.

This project aims to raise awareness about this situation, through the use of interactivity through the face capturing where the participant takes a selfie, in order to question this trend and our relationships with digital devices. At the same time, this project aims to give a deeper understanding of the struggles that someone affected by Alzheimer goes through.

The interactive piece was fully realised in Unity and coded in Visual Studio. All the models were created using photogrammetry through the Polycam app and edited in Blender. The project was created as a digital virtual environment. It represents the idea of entering a virtual reality that is created both by those affected by Alzheimer's Amnesia, due to the Misidentification Syndrome and by the younger who, with the overload of visuals and stimuli also struggle with recalling all the information acquired, and both find themselves in a space of infinite possibilities.
